Understand the topic
HTML means HyperText Markup Language. It describes the meaning and structure of a document: headings, paragraphs, links, lists, images, and controls. A browser parses that document into a tree called the DOM. CSS controls presentation and JavaScript adds behavior. Begin with useful content and meaningful elements before adding either styling or scripts. HTML is a markup language, not a general-purpose programming language.

</html>The doctype selects standards mode. The html element contains the document, head holds metadata, and body holds visible content. The browser displays a large heading followed by a paragraph. The title appears in the browser tab rather than inside the page.
