HTML Favicon
Add a PNG favicon named icon.png stored beside your page.
Understand the topic
A favicon identifies a site in browser tabs and bookmarks. Declare an icon link in head and provide a real image resource. Browsers can choose among icons of different sizes and formats. This icon does not replace the document title or visible branding. Browser caching can delay a changed icon, so test its URL separately when debugging.
Worked example
<!-- Inside the head element -->
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/assets/icons/kanbritech_favicon.png">
<title>Academy timetable</title>
The icon link points to the image already used by this project. A favicon change affects browser chrome rather than creating an image inside body.
Practice
Add a PNG favicon named icon.png stored beside your page.

Do not point the icon link to a nonexistent file. Verify the resource path before assuming the browser does not support your declaration.
