HTML Lists
Write a list of three required materials for a workshop.
Understand the topic
Lists represent related items. ul is an unordered collection, ol is a sequence where order matters, and dl pairs terms with descriptions. Use actual list elements rather than typing bullet characters into paragraphs. List semantics communicate grouping and item counts to assistive technology and make styling predictable.
Worked example
<h2>Bring to class</h2><ul><li>A notebook</li><li>A pen</li></ul>
<h2>Getting started</h2><ol><li>Open your editor</li><li>Create index.html</li></ol>
The supplies have no required order, while the setup instructions form a sequence. Each ul or ol item is represented by li.

<ul><li>Laptop</li><li>Charger</li><li>Notebook</li></ul>Common mistake
Do not put bare paragraphs directly inside ul or ol as items. Use li for each item.
